What are essential oils?

3. bring a wide range of health benefits since unlike modern drugs, they have no side-effects.

Of the hundreds of different essential oils in the world, there are quite a few which are known to be useful for healing and first aid. However, a select few of these oils are especially helpful and will cover the majority of injuries minor enough to treat at home.

Essential oils were a big inspiration for starting these kits. In each Defense Kit, we have included the 6 most versatile oils that can handle the majority of your minor first aid needs. These are Lavender, Peppermint, Lemon, Tea Tree, Clove and Eucalyptus.

ways to apply oils

  • Use 1-2 drops in cupped palms, rub together then inhale deeply.
  • Rub on the feet, temples, wrists (or dab on cuts/stings etc) for an immediate effect on the body.
  • Mix with a carrier oil (jojoba or coconut) & apply to required area.
  • Add a few drops to a diffuser & the goodness spreads wide so everyone reaps the benefits and your house smells divine!

Essential oils can cause sensitization in some individuals and should always be used in dilution. And some others are more intense than others. Always mix a few drops with a carrier oil, such as Jojoba or Coconut, before applying to your skin.
